  • Who can join in the tournament?

    Anyone between the ages of 18 and 188+

    All abilities and levels of experience

    All trans players, including trans women and trans men, cis women, and non binary people.

    All sexualities

  • Is the tournament suitable for beginners?

    Yes, absolutely. Ball Together Now is for all women and non binary people whether you have started playing football last week or 30 years ago.

    The 7 aside tournament is structured so that every team will get the same amount of game time regardless of ability.

  • What are the rules of the 7aside tournament?

    We are looking at the best structure for the tournament this summer to ensure a great experience for players of all abilities.

  • We are travelling a long way to get there, will there be enough game time to make it worth it?

    The exact format will depend on the number of teams registered, but we will ensure that teams get the same amount of games regardless of whether you finish first or last. Games will be around 20 minutes each and we’re aiming for teams to have a minimum of 5 games over the course of the weekend.

    In addition to the football tournament element of BTN, we will also have lots of other entertainment throughout the weekend including music, football darts and talks etc.

  • Can we bring our coaches with us?

    Yes of course. We have a spectator ticket option which will give them access to all the festival elements of BTN Spectator ticket — Ball Together Now

  • CAN WE BRING CHILDREN?

    Under 18s are permitted into the festival grounds between 9am and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.

  • Can we bring dogs?

    Yes you can bring dogs however they must be kept under control at all times and are the responsibility of the owner.

  • Can we bring our own drinks?

    We have a very competitively priced licenced bar on site selling ice cold drinks as well as some great food vendors so would love for you to support them as much as possible.

    You can bring your own food and drink on site. However off site alchohol will not be permitted in the events marquee.

    And no glass is permitted on site

  • What surface are the pitches?

    Pitches will be grass and are all outdoors so please remember to bring plenty of layers / suncream depending on the weather.

  • Can our club enter more than one team?

    Yes of course, the more teams the merrier. It’s just £300 per team for grassroots clubs.

    (if you are a company looking to enter a team, we have a corporate rate)

  • Is there a deadline that we need to register by?

    No there isn’t a deadline but we may have to limit the number of teams registered due to venue capacity. If we’re getting close to that number we’ll be sure to post it on socials so you don’t miss out.

  • Where should we book accommodation?

    We have limited camping availability on site (camper vans also allowed if tents aren’t your thing). If not the pitches are easily accessible via public transport or uber from the city centre where there are plenty of hotels / airbnbs. If you need any advice feel free to send us a message and we’ll be happy to help out 🙂

  • Will there be food / drink available?

    Yes, we are teaming up with local vendors who will be on site so there will be plenty of options to buy. We’ll be announcing details of these partnerships soon.

    You can also bring your own food / drink if you’d prefer but only alcohol purchased from the licenced bar will be permitted in the main events marquee.

  • Will there be space for spectators?

    Yes please feel free to bring spectators. We just ask that they purchase a spectator ticket which gives them access to all aspects of the festival except for playing in the tournament.

  • Where will the nights out be?

    There is entertainment on site into the evening (more details to follow).

    After that if you want to continue partying, it is only a short taxi ride into the city centre.

  • Are there toilet / shower facilities?

    Yes, there are gender neutral changing rooms, toilets, and showers on site with which will be open from 8am to 6pm on festival days. There will also be additional portaloos on site so toilets are available 24/7.

  • What’s the nearest station / coach station to the festival?

    Any National Rail stations in central Manchester are close to Wythenshawe sports ground as well as Stockport (which is on a direct line from London). There are also two coach stations (Shudehill and Chorlton Street) which Megabus and National Express go to. These options would be about £10 - £15 in a taxi to get to the festival site.

    The closest tram stop is Northern Moor with direct trams from the airport and central Manchester.

    To help with transport planning there is a Transport for Greater Manchester (TFGM) app / website which will help you to get around during the weekend.

  • How many players can we have per team?

    Each team registration allows up to 12 players access to the tournament and the full festival line-up.

    12 wristbands will be provided per team which must be worn by players at all times over the weekend (and cannot be swapped between players).

  • Can I bring a friend/family/+1 with me to support?

    Yes absolutely we have a Spectator ticket that they will need to buy in advance (limited number available on the day on the gate) which will give them access to all elements of the weekend apart from playing in the tournament.

  • Can I take part if I am not part of team?
